Introduction to Work Life
Introduction to Work Life is a four-session program run over the Summer and Winter School Holidays designed to prepare participants for life after school.
Participants will engage in interactive activities focussing on topics such as:
Resume creation
Social communication;
Career Discovery
Body language and non-verbal cues;
Active listening;
Friendliness, empathy, and respect;
‘Water cooler chat’
Making and maintaining healthy workplace relationships; and
Self-discovery and self-exploration.
Introduction to Work Life prepares participants who are currently in year 10 or above, are nearing the end of school, or who have recently finished school, to support their transition into the workforce.
Introduction to Work Life is open to young people who:
Are 14 years and older
Would like to dip your toe in and learn about what it takes to get a job, obtain work experience, gain employment; or simply want to improve their general communication skills and knowledge.
